laurienashleigh: Day 1: Best Book You’ve Read this Year I know it’s probably been a little over a year that I’ve read this book, but I’ve got to tell you I was OBSESSED with this book when I read it. It seems weird to read a book about a president that slays vampires, but let me tell you, the way that Set Grahame-Smith wrote this book was AMAZING. He puts in little details of truth and then sprinkles the books with fiction to make this book seem like Abraham really COULD have been a vampire hunter. At some points of reading this book I thought to myself, wow, are we sure that this really didn’t happen?  And the ending…I won’t give it away, but I’ve just got to say, the ending was amazing. This whole book was amazing. Everyone needs to read it. Go pick it up from a library, the bookstore, the internet…just do it. Today.  ALSO, if you watched the movie and think the movie and the book are going to be the same, you’re insanely mistaken. The book and the movie show maybe two things in common. The rest of it is just simply a different story all together. But, I swear, this book is insanely entertaining, even if you don’t like vampires.
